Snow Day, Vienna Virginia

As most of you probably already know this area of the country rarely sees a good snow day. If you are unfamiliar with this area of Virginia, let me enlighten you. We usually get the hype of snowstorm brewing about 7-10 days beforehand. We get excited. We stock up on supplies. We get rain.

Well not this time! We got snow. And I must say a descent amount. Enough to play in and make the landscape around us seem dreamy and cold.

My kids love the snow. We headed over to Wolf Trap Park in Vienna, Virginia for our first sledding hill experience. There may have been a few crashes and a few times of flying through the air, but all in all I would say is was very successful. Besides venturing out for a bit, the kids really enjoyed playing our yard. We love the snow….but now we are ready for Spring!
